Clean crisp copy of the second (revised) UK edition, first impression with publisher's original cloth binding and green dust jacket, maps complete and undamaged. Bottom shows minimal shelf wear. The trilogy was purchased from a UK Library Supplier in 1966 and came with the dj already trimmed down to fit inside a plastic jacket (which was NOT of archival quality, and has been removed) and which has left tape shadows. The 3 volumes in this set are listed seperately on this web site, but I would prefer to sell them as a complete matching set.. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Hard Cover. Jacket: Very Good

The first book in this classic work with a new foreword by the author. FAIR/GOOD jacket on a GOOD book. Moderate soiling, scuffing and fading to the jacket, all heavier to the rear panel. Some foxing to the rear panel. Heavy scuffing to the extremities with heavy pulling/tattering to the head and foot of the spine. Corners scuffed with minor splitting. A 1 inch triangular piece missing from the lower jacket edge near the corner. Spine sunned. Uneven moderate fading to the book. Minor soiling. Moderate scuffing and bumping to the extremities. Spine faded. Some foxing along the fore edge, also not affecting text. Previous owner's bookplate on the inside front cover, with a dedication in pen. Text clean and solid.. Book Condition: Good.
