Half-Leather bound in brown calf, gilt-stamped lettering & decoration on black & red spine panels, black-stamped decoration on lower spine, gilded top edges. Corners lightly bumped, boards slightly bowed; the spine is slightly cocked on the second volume which contains a gift note dated 1950 inked on the front free endpaper; on the largest (third) volume, the back hinge is partially broken thru the back endpapers but binding is very firm; over-all a very attractive set..
